So you and your parents decided you will have a Quinceanera. Great! But now what? Like any other important event, it takes proper planning and research beforehand to turn it into a smashing success. Here are some essential tips to as you get started in planning your Quinceanera:
  1. Book the venue

As early as possible, you have to book the possible venue for the party as well as where the mass will be held. You don't want to risk booking at the last minute in a venue you're always dreaming about only to find it already unavailable at that date.

  1. Pick the right theme

You can start with picking a specific theme you wanted. Make sure it showcases your unique personality- are you an avid Game of Thrones fan? Then you can have a Game of Thrones Themed Quinceanera. Do you love the beach and everything in it? Then you are on your way to organizing a beach-inspired party. Check how to make your own mermaid photo frame prop here. Get creative! After all, it's not as if every day you're having a Quinceanera right? The possibilities are endless!

  1. Choose your party favors

Choosing the right party favor is crucial. It's one way to say your sweetest thanks to those who came to make your day extra special. Remember, it's the little details that actually matter. You have the option to opt for ready-made, pre-made ones, or DIY ones.

  1. Ready your invitations and thank you cards

Despite the fact that everything could be sent out with just a click of a button, do not send invitations via emails. Guests still prefer an invitation delivered via traditional mail as this would make it feel more personal. Invitations also give guests a little sneak-peak of your upcoming party.

    1. Look for catering services

Find out if your venue offers your preferred dishes for the party, and if not, start scouting for possible catering services.

      5. Book the key people in the event

You can't-do it all by yourself. Along the way, you would need a team of individuals who would set up your event into a success. Ask your friends and relatives if they know any good DJs, photographers/videographers, make-up, and hairstylists. They would offer you insight on picking the right people who would fill on the job perfectly.

Do you want to include damas or chambelanes in dancing into the melody of the song in a grand entrance across the ballroom? Or do you want a simple yet heartwarming dance with your dad instead?

        1. Order your cake, get fitted for your Quince dress

Know how many people are coming, as well as pick a color and design that's fit for your theme. Also, make sure the cake is delivered on the day of the event! As for the dress, you must have an idea of the color you wanted to wear, style, and your budget for it.

          1. Secure your other Quince accessories

Will you follow the last doll tradition? Also find your bible, rosary for the mass, as well as the shoes and jewelry you'd be wearing on the day.

          1. Round up your To-do list

Put everything in a notebook to get it even more organized or an online planner such as Evernote. Be sure to key in up to the nitty-gritty detail so you won't risk missing anything. (Tip: Try setting up a timelinemonths before) Try to have most of the list done at least a week or two before the party and remember to have fun every step of the way!
